belize day 3

After a breakfast of fry jacks, spicy eggs, and beans we headed out to work.  Our church group was broken up into smaller groups to help different families and to work on their homes.  My group went outside of the main village to a widow of the church.  We painted the outside of her house, her living room and her pantry/work room.

After paining, we met back up at Fe y Amor for lunch: chicken, beans, and a salad of cabbage, cilantro, & tomatoes.  We went back to the school to rinse off and change into church/VBS clothes.  VBS was more singing, bible stories, snacks, and skits, plus today the children were able to tie-dye a small backpack or t-shirt.  There was also a lot of futbol (soccer) at VBS too!

We ate our dinner of chicken with peppers, homemade tortillas, and beans back at El Buen Pastor.  We spent the evening worshiping and singing.  We finished the night with ice cream in town.  It was a wonderful treat as the shop was huge with air conditioning!
