As a family we created a Summer Bucket List when school got out. Most were low key (have a picnic, make s'mores, have a water balloon fight, camp on the deck, etc) but a few were bigger things we had to plan. Two of those were: ride the great wheel and visit dad at work. The kids and I got to the Great Wheel right when it opened and walked right on up. The individual cars sway a little bit, which freaked Haley a little bit. Justin and Kaitlin were so excited and pumped about the extra rotation around we were able to take.
Then we walked around the waterfront checking things out and then drove up to Dendreon. We visited BJ at work, chatted with his coworkers, and had lunch with him in a conference room. We called Grandma Becky and then Granddad Jim from the speaker phone and the kids were pretty impressed.
